What You'll See on a Tuk Tuk City Tour of Madrid
Every Madrid tuk tuk route starts in the oldest part of the city, around the Palacio Real. Longer tours add one area at a time: the 30- and 60-minute rides stay in the historic center, and the longer ones reach the Retiro, Salamanca, Chamartín and Moncloa-Aravaca districts. San Francisco el Grande to the Barrio de las Letras (from 1 hour)
On the 1-hour Madrid tuk tuk tour, the route heads south past the dome of San Francisco el Grande, one of the largest in Europe, to the Puerta de Toledo gate. It passes Plaza de Cascorro, where the Rastro flea market starts on Sundays, and San Isidro church, Madrid's cathedral until 1993. It also climbs into the Barrio de las Letras, where Cervantes and Lope de Vega lived and quotes from their books are set in the pavement. Do you run evening tours?
Yes, every day until 20:00. From late October to late March, a tour that ends at 20:00 finishes after dark, and from late November to 6 January it can pass the Christmas lights. In summer, a ride after 18:00 avoids the midday heat.
Is entry to the Palacio Real or the Prado included?
